Ditto Cam Obzession Seminar

On Wednesday the 14th at 1 p.m. EST I’ll be conducting an online cam seminar of me shooting one of my Obzessions. For anyone interested in signing up for this, go to Photography Schoolhouse and click the Paypal Link. For only $19.95 you can see me in action, unedited and shooting a full obzession boudoir with a client. This will take place in my home studio environment, so you’ll see everything exactly as it would be on the day of a regular shoot starting from the point that we finish the makeup. I’ll discuss the equipment I use, how I make use of the large amount of natural light I have available, and also how I neutralize that with flash to create other different looks.

My apologies but Ontario residents will not be able to view this session. I will also be offering a special price on my DVD combo so if you’re watching be sure to listen for the offer code.

WPPI Accolade of Excellence

Well I did it this year. I entered a couple of albums into the WPPI 2010 Album Competition. Initially I was only going to enter one album, but I decided at the last minute to put together a new album layout for “Adea’s” obzession album. I had always loved her images, so I thought why not!!! In all honesty, I wasn’t really sure if the album would do all that well, but wouldn’t you know that it received an Accolade of Excellence and faired better then the other album I entered from Tanya and Peter’s Sizzle session.

Of course I feel bad that the other book didn’t do great, but scoring well on this book, titled “An Obsession”, made up for it!:)Here is the full layout design that was submitted for competition. For anyone that’s interested, the original album layout, which is the same as the sample I have in-house is here to view.

[Cliff & Lisa] Sizzle

Just finishing off a few more images from the sizzle session I did with Cliff and Lisa at The Gladstone.  The two of them are off to the Mayan for a destination ceremony and then I’ll see them back here on the 20th for their big wedding event:)

[theresa] an experiment with light

I resently had Theresa come in as a volunteer while I experimented with a bunch of lighting sources.  I wanted to see what would or wouldn’t work in my environment.  You know, shake things up a bit:)

While I still prefer a naturally lit environment and that best suits my style of photography, I did get a few good ideas from this session.

I’d like to thank Theresa, of course, for volunteering and for putting up with the long talks between the shots.  My assistant Darsi and my makeup artist Cat Lasita, as always.  And the ever fabulous Johan Sorensen, a good friend and a lighting guru.

Here’s a little bit of what we did …

Cliff & Lisa [Sneak Peak]

I just wanted to share a few of the sizzle session images that I did recently for Cliff and Lisa.  We shot the entire session at The Gladstone Hotel.  Man I love that place!!!  I’ll be doing a more extensive post with a lot more images, but I’m off to New York City to shoot a wedding.

Cliff and Lisa’s wedding will be coming up in March too, so we’ll have some great images at the beginning of April of their big day!
